Welcome to Chapel Brook House

Chapel Brook House Nursing & Residential Care Home occupies a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian Manor House. The building is located in a quiet and peaceful conservation area only 200 yards from the centre of Congleton, a Market Town on the edge of the Peak District. The house is set in its own leafy grounds with a number of old trees with preservation orders and has the benefit of a large car-park providing adequate parking space for visitors and staff. Our home provides 24 hour nursing, residential and respite care, delivered by compassionate, dedicated, gentle and highly professional staff.

Our home is registered with the Care Quality Commission for 30 residents having 22 single and 4 double bedrooms, all of which have their own basins and some with en-suite facilities. We have one large recreational lounge, a smaller more intimate room and a large conservatory, leading out into the garden. All of these facilities are used by both our residents and their visitors. Our dedicated kitchen provides three meals per day and we have a laundry room where our residents’ clothing are washed and ironed.

Care Management

Our home is run by a management team consisting of the Registered Provider & Company Secretary, Andrew Findlay, and the Interim Care Home Manager, Louise Oldham. Cathy Struselis is our Accounts & Admin Manager. Apart from the Deputy Manager we have 5 other full-time RN’s, one of whom is on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. To assist with care in the community, we also provide day care to local people. The amount of time they spend in the home per day and the services they receive are tailored to meet the individual’s needs.

The Home Environment

Chapel Brook House fully recognises what a life changing experience it is for an individual coming into a nursing / residential home for the first time. We also recognise the effect that this has on our resident’s families and friends. In order to make this change as seamless as possible, we do everything we can to provide the highest standard of care, comfort and compassion in a safe environment. Our aim is to create a family atmosphere within our home that is as close as possible to the home a new resident has just left. Being a family owned single home gives us the ability to run the home for the well-being of all our residents, their relatives and friends without having to operate under a corporate management structure.

Our home benefits from having a designated Doctor who visits regularly on a weekly basis. We pay a lot of attention to facilitate additional care services for example: Hairdresser, barber and chiropodist. We also provide a great deal of activities for example: Music, painting, exercise classes, religious services, visits to the town, boat trips and barbeques to name but a few. Birthdays are always celebrated in the Nursing Home, as are special occasions such as Christmas, New Year and Easter.
